Reinstalled the pickup tube, timing set, and cleaned up the timing cover. Waiting on a new front seal and hopefully it'll be all back in the car this weekend.
Recently used seam sealer to seal the windshield on the k1500, then a week later got a ****in rock chip.
At least it's on the passenger side.

Tried to charge the ac on the k1500, broke the connector on the compressor coil, so I'm gonna go to a local yard this weekend and nab a compressor for parts. If it's cheap.
Finishing up torqing the bottom end and installing the rear main seal. Ford 460 seals fit nicely in sbb. Fun fact: on rod caps without locating dowels, use a feeler gauge between the pair of rod caps when torqing to prevent them twisting and touching eachother.
Very awkwardly changed bearings without removing the pistons. Buick 350s have 6.385" long rods so it was a challenge. Had to enlist the fiancé to help.
Also, I had to reuse an upper main bearing shell. Idk if they were packaged wrong or what, but the only grooved bearing left had the tang in...

Piston tops all look the same burn wise, and there was this goopy sh*t on the valley pan... carbon mixed with oil from exhaust crossover?
Also welded up #8 header tube.
