OPGI shipping, gambling on my dash

Wondering if the reviews are correct that the dash does not use an OE type metal reinforcement

You have to transfer all metal brackets & the reinforcement from an OE dash. The fiberglass "core" that gets covered has bosses to mount but needs to be cleaned up better & most needed holes are drilled.

Interesting. the page on OPGI site says they don't use fibreglas because it's not as durable as the injection molded inner core. Maybe they have switched suppliers?

From what I saw it looks like gray fiberglass under the foam & vinyl unless Dashes Direct have their own special resin. The OE clear white looks more durable. One good thing is these are made in the US & should be at their North Las Vegas, NV location.

I'd be interested to hear how the fitment of this is considering it sounds like an aftermarket part and all.

Got some pics compairing it to the '82 & '86 dashes I have in the garage with some parts test fitted to it. Should be up this evening.
