8.5 rear end from Caprice

A Caprice rear works as well.i know that much.i had one in my 84 Monte SS.I am just trying to find out what year I need to get one from for my 85 cutlass. I know it's a little wider than the stock g body but it does work. If anyone has any info on this.please let me know.

if I'm not mistaken the 9C1 Caprice has the 5 x 5 bolt pattern with 11in drums i think they were in cop cars with 3.42 gears. did the one you have the same lug pattern and drum size? that will help narrow down the rear you need or the rear you had.

have you checked crankshaft coalition website for measurement and specs info?
