yep theres less of them around ,,,mine is a bench seat non a/c car heres a pic needs work but gonna pick away at it ,,, took the 4.3L fi motor out and dropped in a mild 350 ci and a th350 trans ,,,gonna work towards a posi rear also have a 79 malibu 2dr ,,,

x2 monte looks nice ,,,i like the fact its not an ss ,,,, i have the same type monte but an 86 and did same thing the ss decklid spoiler,,,,, mine when i work on it is getting chrome stripped off the lower sections ,,,, gl luck with them both

Re: 1981 malibu rebuild i remember those days im on my 4th bu my current one is the best but its from tenesse a granmas car that was converted into a drag car and i returned back to a street car ,,,,, my 1st bu i cut up with a sawzall and stored as much good metal ,,,, its hard to find nice...

good info for fan wiring ,,,, i used a 3 prong toggle switch on my fans ,,,with switch in one position the fans run off a temp sensor ,,,, with switch in other position fans run manually ,,,incase the temp sensor fails to turn fans on ,,,but this link is what i used to figure out the wiring...

i am doubting its the vacuum line ,,,,if i am not mistaken if the vacuum line isn't connected the trans stays in 1st full time

think that would look cool on a ss(havent seen that mod done around here ) ,,,,was thinking taking the turn signals from a monte ss and installing them in the chin spoiler as fog lights ,,,,just dunno how bright they would be luckily i dont have to make mods for factory lighting...

good idea to keep them if possible ,,,i have 2 th350s all the internals i saved and i have another th350 core and the 1 i rebuilt in my car ,,if anything happens i will have a spare ,,,,,
