    Century to Regal header panel

Made it fit! Really wasn't as bad as I thought originally. Had to cut the support panel in half and take a belt sander to the rounded corners to chamfer them off, but I'm glad I did. Much happier with this nose. Also, had to use coupe bumper supports to push the bumper out 4 inches or so.

    '79 3.8 to '87 3.8 swap

Might keep the aluminum '87 manifold after all. Can anybody tell me what threads into this fitting? Passenger side rear next to PCV valve. Thanks.

    '79 3.8 to '87 3.8 swap

Well here is the 87 NA intake manifold gasket And here is the 87 TURBO and 79 NA gasket Rotate one 180* and I'm sure the bolt holes line up...the only difference is the center ports. If the 87 heads are all the same i should be able to use the 87 turbo/79 gasket. just rebuilt the 2 bbl and...

    '79 3.8 to '87 3.8 swap

Hello, all. I'm sorry if I ramble. I've got a '79 Century wagon with a tired 3.8 NA/TH350. I'm installing a 24,000 mile 1987 3.8 NA with a Monte SS 200-4R. The transmission swap is not an issue. I'm converting the '87 motor to a '79 so all the electrical and vacuum is plug and play into the...

Best drivetrain option for fuel economy

Oh, yeah, cost is definitely a factor. I'm doing this on the cheap. The 25K motor was $100, the 65K trans $170, and either rear end option is pretty cheap. The 2.73 axle is $75! Putting the 3.23's from a buddy's Z28 will mean GN 28-spline axles that I can get used. I'm also using this car...

Best drivetrain option for fuel economy

Hi, guys. Here's what I'm working on...a 1979 Buick Century wagon. I've gota NA 3.8 Buick V6, a 1985 Monte CQ 200-4r with 1800 rpm stall, and 2 rear end options. One option is to build a 3.23 posi, the second is a low mile 2.73 posi bolt-in. Tires are 26" 215-65-15. I am looking for highway...

    Century to Regal header panel

I'm not considering the 87 nose, that's a bit of work. I think the 80 Regal coupe header will bolt onto my Century fenders. One way to find out I guess.

    Century to Regal header panel

I have a '79 Century wagon. The header panel is rather unattractive. What are my exchange options? Have to assume 1982-83 Regal wagon/sedan would be the easiest but not easy to find. I've found a 1980 Regal coupe. Will that fit?

What seats have been used in G Body's?

Has anybody used seats from a B-body? Impala SS or Roadie leather?

Hi, everybody Newbie to this forum, but have had G-bodies since I got my license. First car was a 1979 Grand Prix 301 I bought in 1990 with 53k. In 1995 I bought my 1987 Regal Turbo T that I still own at 121k. Just picked up a 1979 Century wagon and thought it was time to join here. I'll be...
