    Gbody brake Guru's needed

*LAST UPDATE* Well it turns out the whole f'up was from the fact that Rockauto sent me a brake booster that was NOT compatible with a 1980 Malibu. I sent the rockauto piece back, and picked up a booster from O'Reilly and boom, got brakes. What a pain in the *ss. basically did 2 brake booster...

    Gbody brake Guru's needed

The New booster came with a pin installed. Im sure of that cuz I measured and referenced it to the old booster pin. Might be the Master cylinder since its the one that has been on the car for years.

    Gbody brake Guru's needed

Well we might be getting somewhere. I have an aluminum master cylinder but it seems straight bore. I have to take a closer look on that. I read that the early master will fit on early AND late booster. But not the other way around. ( later master wont fit the early booster) I bought a early...

    Gbody brake Guru's needed

I did the master cylinder bleeding on the bench. Its got me pissed forvsure. There IS a difference in 79-80 boosters and 81-86 boosters. They have different part numbers. Same goes for the master cylinders. Got to dig in this weekend. Thanks

    Gbody brake Guru's needed

I did the correct bleeding procedure. And i did measure the New booster, which seemed to be identical to the one I removed. The new booster had a pushrod in place which seemed to be like the old booster. And the problem im seeing is the pedal is not in the same position at rest as previously...

    Gbody brake Guru's needed

I changed my brake booster the other day on my 1980 Wagon . I used a master cylinder that was on my old brake booster. Now, after bleeding the brakes and getting ready to take a test ride, I noticed the brake pedal is a half an inch away from the brake light switch. For some reason the Travel is...

HELP 4 door/wagon front window channels felts

No I cant speak for fitment of channel on the Back windows. I only bought one piece to try, and I used about 90%of it on the driver side front only. And the upright area of the front side window was a funky shape. The CRL product close enough in that area for me. The front area and top run...

HELP 4 door/wagon front window channels felts

The upright area was a little tricky. The CRL product fits but not like oem. I just made the whole run in one piece. It took a little trimming in the 90* turn to make it lay flat. Today I decided to put my door panel back on without gluing the channels . They are holding fine for now. Actually...

HELP 4 door/wagon front window channels felts

UPDATE on window channel.. I contacted CRL laurnce . First I asked them how to obtain an account. They replied with some login details and I ordered the window channel linning listed above in this thread. They are much longer than needed and not formed for the corners in the wagon window frame...
