    1978 Cutlass Supreme

ive neglected this thread but the cutlass is still making progress. I've moved up from the 307 to a 68-70 Olds 350 for another $200 just last month. I don't know about anyone else, but I learned my lesson that its easier to pull the trans with the engine when swapping, thought I'd do it...

Then my car buddies only care about Hondas, imports, and lifted trucks. My friends always doubting the driveability of it. My car...

1986 Monte Carlo SS question on engine/trans swap cost

Have you tried to do just regular service to the car before you moved it? (plugs and wires, fluid changes, carburetor clean, etc.) From it sitting for some time, fresh fluids and such would let you really know what you're working with. See if theyre rebuild-able. I dont exactly know if Hawaii...

    1978 Cutlass Supreme

Thanks, Anything wired to anything has your average joe wire job and all hacked to pieces and connectors. I plan on replacing the cluster, column, and figure out why the ac/heat is so butchered.

    1978 Cutlass Supreme

This is where I am currently. Got the swap done in about 4 days. The things left on my to do list is Install distributor, fluids, exhaust, and find a 4 barrel carburetor. Ive been more worried about finding a carburetor over everything else. Youd think finding a budget carburetor would be...

    1978 Cutlass Supreme

Pulling the engine and trans out for me was a 2 man job since my car was on a slight incline and im a lanky 6'0" 130lbs After that it was as simple as unbolting the torque converter and bell housing and separating, after that the 260 was stripped of its good parts, it was junked and some parts...
