I want to thank Everyone for the quick response and information. I didn't think about it but I could have run the torque test on my Cutlass in the garage, it has a new posi and has not been driver yet. I will run the torque test and let everyone know the results on a new unit.

Some of the T-Types and GN's came with an open rear assembly, you had to check off G80 to get the posi. We bought two assemblies from Nick in Phoenix, mine was an open, I rebuilt and installed a posi, the other one is for my son Pat. It is the one I'm asking about, it has the longer wheel studs...

Does anyone know if there is any test (torque reading) or whatever to tell if the clutches need replacing in an 8.5 GN posi-trac rear assembly? We removed the cover and everything looks very good, no seal leaks, gear surfaces look good, no excessive backlash.

Thanks for asking Injectedcutty. It is an Ls3 495 HP and 480 torque. I have a 200 4R and don't know how that is going to work out. The engine is not a drive by wire but the transmission needs a TV cable?
