Blazer dual piston setup Vs. SSBC dual piston calipers!

Only in that they have dual piston calipers... Are the Blazer calipers aluminum? I thought they were cast iron. I wouldn't be so quick to say an 11" rotor is "similar" to a 12" rotor. That would make the G-body 10.5" rotor an identical twin of the Blazer 11". Right? I'm pretty sure...

Yup. I believe these are the ones: http://www.summitracing.com/parts/BEL-2102/ 328 a pair...

Blazer dual piston setup Vs. SSBC dual piston calipers!

It's highly debatable that the Blazer setup gets you "almost exactly" the same thing as LS1 brakes. LS1 brakes use 12" rotors, with a thickness of 1.27". To be honest, I don't know the thickness of the Blazer rotors, but the Blazer ones are 11" The LS1 calipers are aluminum(lighter), although...

Blazer dual piston setup Vs. SSBC dual piston calipers!

We need to be clear what we're talking about when we say "Blazer". It's the 98-03?ish 2wd Blazer with dual piston calipers. This setup can be run under 15" wheels. No adapters are needed, you use the entire Blazer spindle with integrated hubs, along with their rotors and calipers. You need an...

Blazer dual piston setup Vs. SSBC dual piston calipers!

Fits better? Are you talking about wheel fitment? (Since the 3x 3" pistons are radially lower profile). The 10" piston has almost 4x the surface area though... 10": 78.5 sq in 3x 3": 21.2 sq in I think I understand what you're getting at, as far as wheel fitment. If you mean it fits the pad...

Blazer dual piston setup Vs. SSBC dual piston calipers!

We need to drop this myth right now. The # of pistons doesn't matter. The only benefit the # of pistons gives you is a more EQUAL DISTRIBUTION of force across the pads and caliper. Which IS a good thing. But the total area of the pistons is what gives you clamping force (all else being equal)...

    87 without Euro Clip, True?

I would doubt it's original. AFAIK only '87 and '88 cars came with the euro nose from the factory. Take a look on the underside of the nose and bumper cover and see if its a different colour. Depending on how much was spent on paint, that may not have been sprayed.

    removing landau top

How do you figure? What about the holes where the plastic corner pieces of the vinyl top trim screwed on to the filler panel? Those need to be MIG'd shut. Or something needs to happen with them. And yes, you'll need all the clips that a non vinyl car came with. I've done the conversion a few...

    removing landau top

-Remove the metal perimeter trim. -Remove rear interior pieces to get at your side windows and remove them. -Peel off the top, then drill out the rivets holding the large plastic retainer around the rear window. At this point all the vinyl should come off. You can deal with the glue in many...

oversized piston calipers, are they worth it?

Ding ding ding! We have a winner. With larger calipers you're trading quantity of movement for force. With larger calipers you'll have to depress the pedal further to get the same piston travel @ the calipers, but you'll get more force at the calipers for your efforts. And yes, don't bother...

Exactly what a Donk is (with pics)

Oh sorry, you're right. You didn't insult me at all. Nope. Not one bit. Until now. And I wasn't really insulting you either, I was illustrating to youngdeezy that by calling me a lame for trying to define donk, he was also calling you a lame for trying to define it. Get it now? One thing that...

    interchangeble bumpers?

I don't know about all g-bodies in general, but looking at pics of regals and grand prixs, I doubt it would fit. Well, let's define "fit". It might bolt on, but the lines will be off, and interference with the plastics is likely, or if it doesn't interfere, it might leave big gaps?. I dunno...

Exactly what a Donk is (with pics)

Right... just like the lame in post #1 tryin' to say what a donk is. Understand that slang terms take on a life of their own, and will not be defined by one person/group of people/sub-culture/culture/state/country/continent/planet. Take the word "f*g" for example. In the UK it might refer to a...

Exactly what a Donk is (with pics)

Nah, that Accord is a donk. You or anyone else doesn't have a monopoly on slang/pop-culture terms. '71-'76 impalas are what YOU call donks. I call them '71-'76 impalas. Which is what they are. To me. Get it? :P

Any other 442 owners ever get this problem?

Not a 442 owner myself, but a 442 owner did tell me a story about her "late sixties olds cutlass with a 442 in it". Haha... I told her that 442 wasn't an engine... she didn't believe me. "No no no, it said 442 right on the side, just like those Camaros that say 350 and stuff". LMAO... stupid.
