I need to find out what the tan/white stripe off the ignition switch is, it only has power when the cluster is pluged in. Also i found two wires that were cut, one is orange/black stripe and black/white stripe. Last thing is what does this box go to? It is mounted under the dash with the bracket...

Has anyone installed a floor shifter in a column shift car? Also if i do install a floor shifter can i eliminate the linkage to the column.

I am rewiring my car (kinda) while i have the dash out and i have some wires that were previously unhooked and/or cut. One is an orange/black stripe, tan-brown/ white stripe, and black/white strip. These are all around the steering column. Thanks

Tell me what you think, the steering column is off by about 1"- 1 1/2" and it is about 2 1/2" shorter than the original dash. If i dont use this im going to make a custom fiberglass dash.

I know a guy who took the brackets off of a v-6 (4.3?) and said it bolted right up to his 350, does anyone know if this will work on a 305?

Its only happened once or twice but sometimes when im driving as i slow down to a light the transmission is not down shifting right away.
