Damn, my bad, of course I meant the direct drum that is burned... The air cleaner allready is a dual snorkel assembly. Made it from the one I had, I guess its from Olds, but it's pretty big, inside the cleaner goes a 10"x3" cleaner so thats not tiny. I been happy with the Street Demon! Though...

The time flies! Forget about my thread here! The engine has been working great, biggest issue is to get it to grip, looks good burning tires but its slow way to get of the line :) I been measuring with my phone gps, don't know how accurate it is, but I been getting 0-60mph times like 5,4-5,5...

Damn its been a while since I updated this page, bed is now on frame for good! I been working on the rollpan! Not a piece of cake for me but its starting to take shape!

Rustrustrusty to not so rusty

Threw stuff on the car, to see how it looks. Lovin it!

Hitted a speed bump on the project if you will. Changed the rad support earlier cause the old one was rusted. Well there is difference in the headlamp area! Made brackets for the passenger side, and then theres driver side that I havent done yet:

Looks like I might be needing drop spindles, lets see when everything is in place :D

Found a posi carrier for the 7.5"! Now I need to get myself a ring spacer, its for 2 carrier and the truck gear ratio is 3.73 so I need it. Did the exterior wiring! Rear wirings were in pretty good shape, replaced a little, but the the front end is basically all new.

Haven't reported about progress in a while but I have worked on the car. Rustrustrust repairs. Driver cab corner was gone+the cab support. There was a tiny hole on the firewall... Getting there! Did minor stuff to Olds, and washed it, I need to get it inspected :)

No wonder the body was lower compared to bed. What a surprise. Now the holes are little smaller so the bushings wont fall through :D Started assembling the front end.

Removed some rust from the bed, then made a new bracket for the bed to body mount, then lifted the bed to place, welded the bracket from few spots, then removed the bed and welded the bracket to place. Made a few patches also, still long way to go, as you can see on the photos: I know...

Love the Syclone! Does anyone have magazine articles about the Syclone when it was new? I got interested when you guys mentioned it. Didn't live in the era this thing was new and ofcourse I'm from Finland so it wasn't a big deal here :D

Nice progress again this weekend! Got the shock absorbers in place, placed front brakelines, hoses, calipers etc, bleeded the system. Put the exhaust on, needs only tail pipe! So technical stuff is pretty much sorted if you will. Still ways to go, I think that we are half way there on the build...

Painted the front end, now I can get the suspension assembled in the weekend, like I was hoping.

Yeah well it basically was scrap when I bought it :D Its a daily so I doubt the small block. Would be really cool though! But I have decided that I will get it inspected with the iron duke first, If I'm going to update the engine I will do it later :)

Throwed in a rest of the new exhaust, put the battery in, "primed" it couple it times since I had changed the fuel filter -> starts right up! Not bad, I drove it to garage in november. Idles really nice and the exhaust is as silent as it should be with the iron duke. And I did primer painter...

Rear end is getting backtogether! Everything in rear frame is painted, so next time I have change to work on the car, I guess I can get the rear end ready!
