    so it turns out that the float needle in the carburetor was stuck. I'll be cleaning out the carburetor tomorrow and replacing the old parts.

    it doesnt seem to be pumping fuel into the carb when i push the float. The gas is good and fresh in the tank.

    I just got back in from changing out the fuel filter. I checked the fuel pump and all the fuel lines in the engine bay. The fuel pump and lines had fuel in them. The car still will not start. The fuel pump is brand new with about 50 miles on it so I dont think its the pump. It not the filter...

    It seemed like carb cleaner sprayed into the carb was the only thing that got it going. I tried starting it many times with out doing it and it never kicked over. The cars stock with nothing done. Could this still be a issue with the ignition? would carb cleaner help with ignition?

    Confused on belt routing

    Hello, I have been replacing parts on my engine and I am very confused about the belt routing. Fist off I have a power steering pulley with one belt groove. Is this normal? Auto zone sells the double groove pulley. I tried putting the belt around the fan and alternator but get horrible squealing...

    88 cutlass overheating after water pump swap

    The new pump is the right one. I got it from autozone and it matched up exactly with the stock pump. Is it possible that i didnt fill it up right or something. Air in the system maybe?

    Hello, I had recently replaced the water pump on my cutlass with a new one. I noticed that the engine starts to overheat even if its idling. The coolant reservoir is constantly filling and draining it self. Does any one know what this can be?
