Looked in the forums but couldnt confirm

Can an 84 Buick Regal donor frame be swapped
into an 80 Pontiac Grand Am with 0 modifications?

It looks like all the body mounts are the same. The possible difference being the length of the front frame horns/core support locations.

My frame needs rust work. 84 Regal frame is finished and includes all the UMI front/rear stage 2 goodies with 2 inch lowering springs, a 9 inch, fresh paint, and no rust out areas.

Assuming the frame is good and it fits my grand am this will save me months and some $s. Its a 10 hour drive. Im going off photos from seller who did a frame off. Regal body is sitting on the completed frame, all else is in pieces.

I know this has been asked a bunch but i found nothing to confirm grand am and regal have same frame horns.

This is my 80 grand am right front frame horn. If someone has an 84 regal that can be easily pictured id appreciate a comparison pic.

Not the best angle, at all. This was a car I rebuilt before I began:

A copy & past from an older locked thread that I posted years ago:

This is what I found usimg my Chevy parts books.
Monte Carlo frame p/n: '78 470211, '79 14017671 (must use engine mount 14005699 on '78 models) (used on '78-'81 Buick 09, 69, 87), '80-'81 14013462 (superseded '78 & '79 p/n's) (used on '81 Regal), '82-'88 14103516 (use on '83 Olds W40 Hurst/Olds, '78-87 Pontiac except 35.)
Malibu (19, 27, 69) p/n: '78 461808, '79 14005602 (same note as Monte Carlo), '80 14017667 (must use '80 front park brake cable on earlier models, superseded '79 p/n) (Used on Buick 09, 69, 87), '81 14032514 (superseded '78-'80 p/n's.)
Note body codes:
2 door body: 27, 37, 47, 87
4 door body: 09, 19, 69
station wagon: 35
Looks like the Monte frame would be the one to work on a LeMans. Keep in mind that this is incomplete as I have not cross checked all GM catalogs for our cars.

'78-'81 Regals shared the same from as '78-'81 Montes which was the frames '78-'87 Pontiacs excluding wagons. I really don't think there was any major alterations done to '82-'87 Regal frames that could prevent the use of the frame on the Grand Am. I would measure the front frame horns from a common point on the frame to the bumper mount points to ensure no major rework would need to be done. Before I forget, both frames may have different methods of mounting the transmission crossmember (direct bolt on or using rubber cushion pads) but won't interfere with the intechange.
