Help align fender with door ??

Pull the fenders and front header forward. Figure out where they want to sit on the frame. Every GBody that I’ve done this too as required adjusting the core support height. It sounds like a pita, and it is. But it’s not really that bad. As 69hurstolds mentioned, get the rear door line to...

    Fusible Link Info

6” is long enough and damn near the original length. You can buy fusible link wire at Napa and make you’re own for $20-25. Personally, I’ve done away fusible links on everything and run a fuse. And yes, I know the cons of a fuse vs. a fusible link. But the plus side is a dead short is still a...

your fav/ best/ craziest gbody shuffle

I think that video isn’t considered G body shuffle. The ‘shuffle’ is most commonly referring to the side to side tilt that occurs in a GBody when launching hard. My avatar photo shows it well.

A Fabricobbler's Guide to the Turbo Buick Galaxy- Cutlass Rehash

I’ve got a brand new set of those with stickers still on them - waiting to decide where to put them. If you weren’t in MN, I’d sell them cheap lol.

A Fabricobbler's Guide to the Turbo Buick Galaxy- Cutlass Rehash

Have you calibrated the speedometer, or have a clue about how fast it’s going? Curious about rpm at highway speeds? I’m hoping it’s too high so you have more than one reason to put some meats on the back.

Never Too Old To Learn- Seal That Solenoid

Certainly can tell the age of that document. Now starter repair is ‘no problem found’ or ‘replace’

1979 Buick regal / Engine rebuild

A piston ring company I’ve used for custom rings in the past is Deves. I believe they are out of Nevada. I’m sure the shipping will be worse than the cost of the rings.

A Fabricobbler's Guide to the Turbo Buick Galaxy- Cutlass Rehash

The drain plug should be a standard mod, but it isn't. When problems occur and the fluid has to be drained 2 or 3 times in a season let alone, 2 or 3 times in a month, it becomes painfully obvious that a drain needs to be installed. Unless of course, your garage floor needs to be cleaned - ATF...

Rack vs manual gear box, spill pan vs engine diaper *updated

Rt Jam So much toe because of what the factory manual says. And it seemed to help, but that doesn't mean that it's the solution. The gear box ratio is 25:1. According to the vendor, it's 6.25 turns lock to lock. But I have interference at 6 turns (plus a little).

Torsten posi and gears in Indiana CHEAP

This is about the toughest 7 5/8 10 bolt you can find. Throw in a set of Moser axles and this will handle 450+ whp for a long time.

what are the options for drive by cable GM gen4 v8?

I believe you have to use an aftermarket TB. I’m not familiar with a DBC Gen 4 that offered a 4 bolt DBC TB. A low budget TB will work just fine. Regarding fuel economy, if you’re getting 15 mpg with a stock cam, or near a stock cam, and stockish converter, then you are leaving a bunch on the...

Rack vs manual gear box, spill pan vs engine diaper *updated

I've completed the manual steering conversion. The box and pitman arm were new (reman gear I assume) from Speedway Motors. TRZ drop spindles 1.5" I believe, with TRZ upper arms and a TRZ bump steer kit. The brakes are Wilwood Dynalite small brakes to fit inside a 15" wheel. And am using a set of...

BUILD THREAD 84 Regal back half/caged/mini tubbed lq4/4l80e build

Hopefully you have it near maximum by 75% throttle. It’s worth checking with a manual gauge at the transmission. Even if the software is setup correctly, an internal issue that causes low line pressure will burn up every automatic trans.

    Rear End Noise

You have to start eliminating things. Check all of the rear suspension with a pry bar. Drive with the truck taped down with a towel in the seal area. And make sure your wheels are tight ;) If you get the wife to ride in the trunk - it didn’t happen unless we get pic or vid documentation.
