Ugly1, yes, it has been the 2nd Saturday in May for the last 3 years now. It used to be the 3rd Sunday of May up to that point but the club ran into an issue that if it rained and needed to use the rain date it always ended up being Memorial Day weekend. A couple of years they tried the first...
For those of you in Mass or the New England area there will be a car show on Sat. May 11th at the Hebert Candy Mansion on Route 20 in Shrewsbury, MA. This is an annual show held by the Eastern Mass GMO Chapter of the Olds Club of America. It is open to all vehicles but only Buicks...
I'm looking to replace/upgrade my front dash speakers. One of them is out and the other sometimes is very static-y . Does anyone have any recommendations for a good pair of the 3.5 inch speakers? Brands? The rear speakers seem to be perfectly fine. The car has the stock AM/FM 8-track...
The first picture shows the cowl tag. All pace cars had the W44 code on it.
Second picture shows stock interior with working 8-track player.

Bright firethorn red interior with power split bench seat and stock sport steering wheel.
Sides of car are very good...
I forgot to mention that there's a Youtube video of the car I made when I first purchased it. Search for 1978 Delta 88 Holiday coupe and the author is Mary Cafarella. It's about 8 minutes long. I have done several things to the car since the video was made. New headliner, rear sway bar, new...
A few more photos…
51K actual miles. Very clean and solid underneath. No issues. GM B-bodies had the axle identification on a tag instead of stamped into the axle tube. This tag shows the 3.23, code KG, and build info for the rear end. This is a 3.23 open rear end. If it had limited slip...
Most of these cars did come with the 350. The 403 was a $340 option in 1978. 2.41 was the standard gear set. The 3.23s were as deep as you could go from the factory. This car has the 8.5 inch rear end (Buick built) with the larger 11 inch rear drum brakes instead of the 9.5 inch drums...
I know this isn’t a g-body but I’m selling my 1978 Delta 88 Holiday coupe. The Holiday 88 package was available on the base Delta 88s (not the 88 Royale) from 1978-80. The package consisted of bucket seats, console, sport steering wheel, and sport mirrors in the full-sized Delta. All Delta...
I'm pretty sure that's an Olds 350 under the hood, most likely the original (?). The offset air cleaner was designed to clear the HEI on the olds 350 and 403. The 1978 Cutlass Calais(s) I've owned had the Chevy 305 and neither had this style of air cleaner.
