I picked the core support behind the battery as my spot to place the relays.
I build the harness and relay connectors with serviceability in mind by adding a 2 wire weather pack connector to be able to disconnect it from the main harness.
I'm using 40 amp relays with a 30 amp inline fuse...

I check my thermostat before installing. It's marked 180 degree, and it opened at 183. Not too bad.
I get the Thermo Housing installed along with a few sensors I'll need in place to finish the harness.

Whenever I go on a yard crawl, I always grab items like that. Push clips, pin clips, plastic rivets, etc. They usually don't even charge if you're picking up something else (or forget to tell them).

I had an 87 Cutlass Supreme before the 442. It didn't have the spare in the trunk. I had a medium sized plastic tool box that wedged down in the tire well perfectly. I loaded it up with all the metric size sockets and wrenches along with screw drivers etc.

I think the "Mark of Excellence" fading away is a reflection a production standards as a whole. I think the average "Joe" has become used to lower quality and poorer service.
Maybe it's simply a question of economic stress. Maybe they're trying to push back the cost of stamp or machinery...
