Not a G-body, but it's tempting...very tempting. Thoughts?

Knowing these are not going to be in production anymore, it does look tempting, its a looker!
I've driven these in limited trim, low HP versions, but really liked the looks and driving experience.

I've seen some new Hellcat and Demons go across the block at Mecum (TV) recently and they are pricey. Certainly viewed as collector cars already.

The only trouble with buying a used muscle car is you don't know how the previous owner drove it. So look over. Ask dealer for warranty repair history

Well, you can expect it to have been flogged a couple times, unless the previous owner was too scared to crack the throttle.

I have no problem saying I've tested the capabilities of my cars.

Treat em like your woman..have your fun, care for them, and don't keep it good for the next guy...🤣

Well, it's a new 2023, so, I doubt there would be issues with that. Unless it was a hard to find car that we just had to have, something like this we'd buy new because of that very reason. I couldn't imagine someone other than me bouncing it off the rev limiter. Several times.

But we discussed it some more today but I think that car will end up with someone else. It appears right now if we even DO get one, it'll be the 375 HP version. Although another dealer has a similar car that's green for a little bit more $$. More subtle.

You do realize that you will have to give up your geezer designation if you score that toy; it is definitely Not a geezer-mobile

Depends on how it's driven.. I know a few boomers with some late model Z06 Corvettes that don't take them above 2500 RPM

I have boomer friend like that but with a 2018 Porsche 911 Carrera S. He never drives it just sits in the garage. Well that changed one day last year when I threw chocolate Jimmies mice poo under the car and I told him his Porsche is now a townhouse for mice. You should of seen the look on his face Kodak moment, he know drives it.

Get it, best looking new car IMHO. I love my GT, just a great cruising car. That car, much faster but will still be a comfortable driver. Only major repair, a hair line crack in the 8 spd factory plastic pan at 125,000 km. I gathered all the common failure parts for my 3.6 in aluminum, incase the plastic parts fail. The Hemi's seem to have issues as well. Like any car, luck seems to play in as all brands are similar in reliability these days. Do it, come over to the Darkside.

Driven is a range, not an absolute. It can range from back and forth in the driveway just to exercise the mechanicals all the way to long range highway operations at well above safety and sanity levels ala Vanishing Point. Tooling around at 2500 RPM, to me, would be just about idling down the street, and around here, with all the red light to red light warriors and stop sign squirrels, a gilded invitation to get tail-gated by some already twenty minutes late putz in a late model more door who thinks he/she is driving a time machine that can turn back the clock just by speeding. The lot of 'em ought to be sentenced to perennial ownership of electric cars with small batteries and 50 mile cycle times.
