Door seals. Where do you get them without being robbed? The ones on the Brougham are in terrible shape. I was thinking about swapping them from the parts wagon but thought that if I could buy a new set for reasonable money, I would do that instead. Mine are dry and crumbly and there are big...

Don't you think these cars look so much better with the stamped steel wheels on them rather than the wire spoke hub caps? I specifically went to the wrecker to find a set. The first CC had the basic hub caps on it (I like the look of them better than wire wheel) but I only had 3. The Brougham...

I saw that. It's too bad it isn't here, I would love to rob parts off of it. What's the rust/interior like? I thought about swapping the front seat out of this one for the one in my parts wagon. The problem is that this one is a 60/40 split and the one I would swap in, while in much better...

Finally managed to download some of the pictures I took of the Brougham when I went to purchase it.

    WAGON DOORS VS SEDAN DOORS

Excellent news. It's nearly impossible to find rust free doors around here which is why I grabbed the one I did. I may as well sell it though unless it has the vent window motor and switch. It came off a Brougham.

    WAGON DOORS VS SEDAN DOORS

X2. I thought there were interchangable, and they aren't due to a slope in the sedan's roofline.

Thanks for the heads up about backing plates and rear cylinders. We use salt up here but surprisingly, the car is VERY solid. These G-bodies rust on the doors and the woodgrain stopped all that. That saved this car. The underside is also very clean and the frame is solid, I was unaware that...

Thanks. I uncovered a few things that made me go  when we put it up on the hoist. First off, there are two bars that bolt from the front corners to the centre. Both of mine where unbolted from the centre (bolts loosely put back in) and bars moved so they lined up across the front of...

That's a pretty rare find around here (Calgary). I haven't even seen one at any of the local wreckers for nearly 4 years. I have only seen on other Cruiser wagon with woodgrain and it was over 15 years ago. Many were sold here but not many Broughams.

Thanks! I love the woodgrain. Up here, the salt has really taken a toll on these cars. You still see the 2 and 4 doors on a regular basis but most are in pretty bad shape body wise. I have only seen one other wagon (a Malibu) being driven regularly and 2 other wagons at car shows. These...

The Cruiser with the bad camshaft Here is the Brougham with woodgrain! Forgot to mention that I reused the rear shocks but not the fronts as they could not be removed without being damaged. We brought new front shocks. As you can see, the old ones were finished. 2 mintues after being...

    Blending two '83 Cutlass Cruisers

A few years ago I picked up an '83 Cutlass Cruiser. I had wanted a G body wagon since I was a kid in the '80's, an Olds specifically. My main interest is VW's and I had found a property out of town that had a few hundred vehicles on it, most in poor condition. I had made a deal to purchase...
