Sorry, I don’t have any recommendations. Hopefully someone else chimes in. I bought some a long time ago and never used them because the magnets were too big to fit without cutting the dash. I am looking for good replacements as well.
I have poly bushings all around and poly body mounts and I have never heard a squeak. I am pretty happy with the suspension and have B6s as well. I’ll never go back to a cheap shock.
What is your reason for wanting 300hp?
For a street driven car wanting more fun I would shoot for the most torque you could get out of it instead of the most horsepower. Especially if you’re wanting to keep the small cube motor emissions legal with no power adder.
How far off is your tach? Mine is off in my 83 SS but cannot remember how far. I think 200 - 300 rpm. I didn’t find out until my new distributor went in. The new distributor links to my phone via Bluetooth and has a tach in the app. I haven’t looked into fixing it yet.
The BAFX Bluetooth reader pictured worked great for me with the Torque app. You can view a lot of live data and read and clear codes. I got it on Amazon.
I have an issue with it not connecting to my 2011 Chrysler Town & Country so I bought the Zurich brand Bluetooth dongle from Harbor Freight...
I had a 2004 Pontiac Montana that had transmission woes several times. I chalk that up to the stupid Pressure Control Solenoid / computer control.
The 3400 V6 developed a head gasket leak and intake manifold leak. After repairing that a couple of the rocker mount bolts ripped the threads out of...
From my past experience you will have to try both ways. While bass is omni directional there is a point in the trunk that once you go past it with the speaker you start to lose bass big time. It might work fine either way but I would try both before permanently installing it.
I’ve had mine for 29 years. It is my first car. The main bulk of work began in 96 when I had the engine rebuilt. The computer management was removed along with the smog stuff and some upgrades. In 97 the TH350 was replaced with a non lockup rebuilt unit with a shift kit installed. In 99 I...
Got into a big mess when I pulled the front fender off. I thought I was down to repairing the driver door and passenger rocker panel but I guess I’m not.
Started repairing my driver's door last night. Unfortunately I found previous repair work that the "bondo magician" had done that sold me the car. Luckily he wasn't a good welder and I was able to pop the old repair panel off the door skin with a screwdriver.
I still have a lot of work to do...
