'81 Caballero dies with too much gas.
sounds like a bad vacuum leak. check all the vacuum ports on the carb front and rear..... test you alternator also to make sure it's putting out enough voltage to run the hei ignition.... the ignition needs 12volts or more to run properly.- Jshiel50
