I've been trying to figure out if I could put an 8.5 ring gears in a7.5 housing. Would it fit, or should I get another rear end. Reason I'm asking because my rear end is literally worn out, gears and pinion bearing. Should I attempt to rebuild it, or get another?

I ripped my top off too. It was all ripped up and missing chunks of vinyl. Then once I got it all off, I had to smooth out all the rough spots. I still have to paint the car though. Even though everybody takes their vinyl top off, I like the half top look, and rather use a different material. I...

Does your engine have any modifications? Even if your engine is pure stock, you would still have a performance gain, though very little. To feel anyway.

Did you use some type of padding or no padding

I have an 83 cutlass supreme with the vinyl top. I want to use a different material instead of the original vinyl. I was wondering if I use the different material, is there a certain type of padding I have to get, and if I was to try to attempt to do it myself, how hard will it be to do?
