Driving it to work. I really genuinely enjoy driving this car, and the 200r4 is going to make it so much better. After that, ac, and then as far as im concerned it'll be complete. Sure it needs paint and body work, but eh.
Replaced my mangled fender to core support braces with some cutlass junkyard ones. No one ever really tells you but Regal fenders are indeed 3 pieces. Outer shell, inner shell, and the wheel well. They do not have the same fender mounting locations available. So I whittled down the ends to fit...
Backed the gfs impala out of the driveway to switch cars around and I got an "Engine Speed Reduced" message on the dash and it wouldn't do anything above idle. After panicking around the block trying to get it to fix itself, I pulled a plug to see if those might be the culprit.
I think...
The cam I have is admittedly too rowdy for my setup. I really should have a bit more compression and head flow.
But on the other hand, this is the same cam that was in this engine 4 years ago.
Only thing I changed about the whole setup was timing and fuel and adding mufflers. I'm 99% positive...
Got my new tags in... along with plates?
It included a letter in which it states that once a given set of plates in Iowa reaches a decade (or nearest to it via registration date), they are automatically deactivated and they ship you new plates.
Annoying, because i do not like the new iowa...
dynamic compression with the cam i have is 7.19:1
Static is somewhere between 9.2-9.5:1. Used 91 octane "alcohol free" gas.
Only thing it could be, i suppose, is it really hated the extra 4 degrees of timing ive added since then.
I went and looked back through pics, I had headers installed before the last dyno session. Only things that changed was timing, carb tune, and adding mufflers.
