i realy do have a Ford 302 with a 5 speed in my oldsmobile wagon, its kind of a joke and probly more trouble then its worth but it has been fun just to see if i can.

i would also consider a TH350 over your TH200. i know erver one will probly tell you this but the 200 and 200r4 are not the best or cheapest trans to play with trust me on this. and why not columb shift a full manual valve body trans.

i see alot of 307s in the junk yard aroundmy town (im from omaha NE). they came in almost every GM car from 1980 to 1990 i think. the 5A heads were used up to 84 and and i have seen some on a few 1985 cars as well. but just find a car at the yard that has a 307 and scrape the crud off the side...

i cant say for painless wiring (im cheap i got a qwick wire set up and wish i had spent the extra) but when my wife and i re did my wagon it turned out well. we made a few mistakes and it took about 3 days. the only thing i would recomend is lay every thing out on the floor and zip tie or rap...

thats what we did before we replaced the wire harness also it is amazing how many extra wire are in the factory harness compaired to the new one.
