I saw "likes" being traded-in for pizzas and the first thing that came to mind was the "Book It!" program by Pizza Hut -- read x number of books and you get a personal pan pizza ...

I guess this is actually my 2001st post. I feel so validated as an online personality. No - not really.

I don't put much credence in the "likes" (but, appreciate the recognition), so much so as the "quotes" - mostly because I enjoy the conversation and open exchange. And usually if someone quotes me it means that there may be an agreement or disagreement - I fully welcome the disagreements as long as they are based in reasonable thought (might actually learn something)... otherwise I am just going to make you look like an idiot.

Interestingly enough the "HAHA" emoji on faceballs is now being used as the "dislike" button.

They don't mean anything or do anything to your profile. Just for fun and a quick response/interaction.

But, Veterans will remember that I removed most of the truly negative ones because they were effectively being used to drive people away by other people (you know who you are) consistently crapping on everything they'd post without actually posting as much.

I think the system works pretty well. Makes for a quick nod of approval without a word intensive response.

As a new user to this forum, but a contributor others, I like the quick response options. Not something available on others. Its cleans up clutter of having a typed response.
