Picked this up a couple of months back. A rolling shell with no engine, no transmission, and a pretty crapped out interior. But very solid. Putting in a mild 5.3 LS and 6l90. Plans are to get it running and driving this summer and continue to improve on it for years to come after that.

I've fitted the ls and the 6l90. I've just about got the wiring done, fuel system has been built and the plumbing has been done for the power steering and the transmission cooler also. I trunk mounted the battery and also stripped most of the interior out. Floors look great! Plan on swapping the dashboard with a Grand Prix board in the near future. I did this to my last Malibu 30 years ago. I think the Grand Prix dash is the best looking G-Body dash.

Welcome to the GBodyForum!
Nice car! The 78 Malibu has always been my favorite. The 6L90 is going to be a tight fit but is doable. Looks like you’re on your way to a fun ride.
