Yep, Amsterdam. Crazy monument just because. No “cons” in progress atm. Just normal everyday life for these guys. Everyone was crying about the heat. It hit 90 F. It was still a good 10 deg F cooler than what we’re used to so it wasn’t so bad for us. It usually doesn’t get that toasty here though. Humidity wasn’t as bad for sure. Great weather.

Bicycle mechanics make a continuous living here. I’ve never seen so many bicycles in my life. And never seen a G-body either. Not that I expected to, but I’m keeping my eyes peeled.

I was there 4 weeks ago. some of those bike riders are aggressive aren't they?

as for Gbody, I know a guy with a 4th gen El Camino who lives about 40 miles NW of Amsterdam

had to doublecheck....that con is being held in Glasgow Scotland not Amsterdam. don't know why I got that confused

Made it back home in one piece! Yay!

Oh, and here's a really cool thing I learned in Germany about beer tabs at a bar. And maybe Europe in general, but especially Germany, I guess. We had lunch at one of those outside pub/restaurants in Cologne and figured I'd get my first beer in Europe. They bring you out this little glass, like maybe 6 oz or so. I'm like WTF? But then it's super cool. You get your coaster, then your beer. You drink beer, waiter sees it empty--- then--- AUTOMATICALLY another beer shows up and he marks the coaster.

AUTOMATIC BEERS! Love it! Even if they're small. I also found out the coaster is the shutoff valve. When you no longer want any more beer, you place the coaster on top of your beer, the waiter totals the marks on your coaster and you pay your tab. Beautiful.

TIP: Don't mark or doodle on your coaster. They may charge you for more beers.
