CUTLASS Reverse light lens

Be careful with anything called argent. It’s the same as anything called silver. It may be 100 different shades of the same generic color name. Like 83/84 HO wheel inlays are argent but so is the name of 69 HO center section paint. I guarantee they’re two different shades of silver. Luckily 70-72 iterations were known as dark argent. Weird.

I know when redoing 70-72 cutlass taillight lenses many people used the krylon dull aluminum but I’m not sure it’s the correct shade for the G-body back up lights.

I found a spray bomb mix of the 1983 HO code 16 Bright Silver. I'm going to color code the reverse housings to the lower silver of the car.

That's like with black. There's the 19/WA848 used for the body color but then there's the different sheen, flat/gloss, hue/shade.

i just bought a can of dull aluminum. i will spray some panels with it tomorrow and post the pictures up.
