Starter wires

So it’s been about two years since I’ve taken everything apart and while I have tons of pictures I did not take any of the starter wires because I had the factory manual and figured I would rely on that. So my ask from the group is that I see the battery wire coming in to the main terminal and the purple 12 gauge wire coming in from the ignition to the s terminal and the red to the the ignition with the fusable link but what is the other usable link wire going to? I’m sure the answer is in front of me.
I have reworked all the wire on my c100 following hutches videos and have a bunch of new wires that need terminated at there intended locations.
As usual I appreciate the input and help.

I should have noted that I realize that I should refer to the power distribution page, just haven’t had the chance to get to that.
 
ELCAM is right on the mark.

In the manual toward the beginning of the schematic section there is a breakdown of the C-100 connector. It lists all the wires and their page numbers. You're on the power wire on page 30-1. The other wire is shown on 10-0.

Thanks hutch, I appreciate that. I am digging into the schematic more today so I’ll check that one out first.

As usual I appreciate the input and help.
You have the large cable from the Battery to the armature. Then the 14 gauge from ignition switch to the relay. No fuse link needed. You put inline fuse holder socket with 15 amp fuse in the wire going to the relay.

Heat Blanket for starter?

Edit: the "relay" is the "S" on the solenoid. The solenoid is a relay... Small amperage input closes contacts, allow high amperage to flow to the brushes and energize windings... Causes motor to spin and Bendix pops out the starter gear, meshes with flex plate/fly wheel... Engine turns. Very simple system.

Yes running headers and still need to get a heat blanket for the starter. Thanks for the help

In my opinion do yourself a big favor, especially if you've already refurbished/rewired your C100 bulkhead connector and that is to forget about putting fusible links down at the starter solenoid at all.

Re-route them directly to the battery, (Dual top/side Terminal ones are great for this) or use the near battery junction block (like below) and feed that with an appropriate battery cable. I never put fusible links down by the starter anymore (like they were originally) on a custom built/wired car.

Only time I would is if the car has to be a pristine factory restore for show car trophies, or a museum.

That’s a great idea. I have already rewired the c100. But I am putting a block in for power distribution.
