I noticed the left front dash speaker was missing. I removed the grill which wasn't screwed down, and there was basically nothing underneath, no additional brackets, etc.

Should I be mounting the 3.5" aftermarket speaker directly to the grill via the two threaded sections that are attached to the grill? Or am I missing some other mounting hardware?

Also the space between the dash and windshield is so tight that I cannot install the speaker from above, so I feel the only way is from below through the dash. However how do you access the speaker on the right front? There is no way to drop the speaker in from above because of the windshield

Also when I removed my instrument cluster, I noticed the duct work to the left side vent is missing. Anyone have a photo of what duct is supposed to be there? I found one duct in my box of spare parts that came the car but I do not believe it is the right piece.

the smaller magnet speakers fit better,i tried to fit a set of kickers in but they were too big.i ended up with a smaller set of pioneers that fit.i agree with pagrunt that duct you posted looks correct.did you try flipping it around to see if it lands any different?

In my Monte I installed a component set up and put the 6.5" speaker in the door and the tweeter where the 3.5" speaker was.

The duct shown goes from the back of the gauge pod to the vent on the bezel. It appears from the pictures posted that you are missing the left side duct from the plenum across to the left side of the gauge pod

Thanks, so it appears that I am missing a duct that goes across to the left side which is this one?

OE speakers mount right onto the grill with nothing else. They are a pain to instal with the OE speakers but fits between the glass & dash. Does your car have any duct work behind the dash? That part you posted is the cluster vent duct extension.

I do not see any duct work behind the instrument cluster. It looks like it was taken out. The car was originally an A/C car but the A/C was removed at some point. Eventually I would like to get it reinstalled.

That's the left side duct work that you need. Always in the name of Race Car things get remove & tossed with seeing the car was no race car. Hope you got most of the heat-A/C set up.
