Trying to decide on what color backer to do on these vents. I am torn on what to go with so I am turning to my dependable, well versed friends on here.

I am using perforated stainless to back my door jam custom vents. I mocked up them up with white paper and black paper to see the backing color but keep in mind the color will be applied to the perforated
stainless.

Trying to decide if the backer should be matte white, matte black or if I should clear the stainless. Ultimately the vents will be getting engraved and chromed..but now they are a bright polished aluminum.

Curious for everyone's input!

gloss white...the color match's a nice detail.the black or bare stainless looks low effort and you're ride's clearly not low effort.it's in the detail's..

If'n it were me - Black. It focuses your attention on the rocket. The white looks like you just stuck it on a solid door jamb, like an emblem. The holes are kinda cool, maybe paint that black, but the holes being round and the rocket being square-ish design, I think it my clash a bit. JMO.

It might be nice to tie into the interior color. Maybe mock up a dark burgundy and see how it looks.

Dang. This might be the winner. This is shot with SEM burgandy I had on hand and is dang close to the top color. What you guys think. Remember that aluminum will be engraved and chromed down the road. Added that choice to the poll but it gave it two selections lol.
