Hello everyone. I just recently acquired this nice 85 Grand Prix. I flew out to Georgia and drove it home to Texas. The weather has been terrible so these are the only photos I have so far. I will take more when I have time and weather permitting. It has a few bugs but I’m a handy guy and will figure them out.

Good looking score, what bugs you got to work out? As you will learn we are all nebnoses on here 🤣
Climate control issues. I just went ahead and bought a rebuilt unit off eBay. It has a ZZ4 crate engine with an Edelbrock carb and weirdly enough, the vacuum leaks in the climate control affected the timing. The engine would ping like crazy with the climate control "off" and on "cold". Once I moved it to "heat" and slid the temperature lever over past half way, the engine would no longer ping. I was thinking that the vacuum leak was maybe creating lean issues or causing problems with the vacuum canister on the HEI distributor.
Also, I have some burnt out bulbs in the instrument panel I need to replace. The right cornering light does not work and it's not a bulb issue. Right side opera light is out but that is probably going to have to remain that way unless I find some for sale that work.
Power seat motor and transmission are gone so will need to sort those out. I can drive it just fine but it would be nice to push the seat back a little more.

Georgia to TX is a pretty decent trip for an initial purchase 'drive'. Hopefully beyond the pinging it was low drama.
