You know it's bad when Juneau, Alaska will have warmer (and calmer) weather than you on the same day in winter.

Compliments of WeatherUnderground- Today's hourly weather for Augusta, Georgia area, 1/21/25. High of 33, almost 2" of snow overnight. (The Masters golf tournament here is about 11 weeks away)

WTF, Mother Nature? First it's hurricanes 3 months ago, now it's blizzard warnings in the deep south. Still, overall, I don't think I actually would move to Juneau, although I hear it's nice weather today... 🙂

My pops said he had about 3" of snow accumulation on areas/land around his house on the last round (1-2wks ago) in Stockbridge. He actually had more than what we got in Dallas Tx (same storm system 24-48hrs later).

We're sitting @ 22°F this morning but the sky is cloud free.

That’s a balmy chinook day here. We were-20 degrees C (-4 F) here not 24 hours ago.

I remember how much snow can screw with life in the south. Back in the winter of '81/'82 we were still at Ft. Benning (Ft. Moore), Ga & 2" of snow shut down the base & Columbus. Didn't make a full day of school. Bused us all home cause of a dusting before the real stuff came in. After 3 years of them sitting in the shed, the sleds were put to some good use. Also was interesting see who drove in the snow & those who never did.

FFS, today went to go pay the registration fee for the 87 442, got to the county offices at 2 pm. Checked the website before leaving, nothing saying they were closing early or anything. Cloudy, cold, no precip yet. And on the way over there was tiny little flakes just starting to fall from the skies. By the time I got there, they were already closed. WTF??? Idiots.

They're closing crap all over the place. Only in the south.
