I have n old Saginaw 4 speed I just resealed and replaced speedo drive gear. The speedo driven gear bullet has an o-ring on the outside of the bullet but what stops the gear oil from leaking out from the inside hole that the driven gear is in. Does the speedo cable have a seal on it?

There is supposed to be a very small seal in the center bore of the bullet which seals the driven gear

Thanks for that . The seal kit didn’t come with that one
