That's a headlight surround.
Found one here:


You could make your own from a chrome one and get it cheaper. Just tape off the front edge and low-gloss black it. P/N 25506533.

You are correct what I need is p.n. 22519955 1984 cutlass black grille.

22519955 is a LH grille (silver) for 1984 Cutlass Supreme/Calais 2-door.

The black one is for 84 Hurst/Olds only. Which is GM p/n 22523749. Although it does have 22519955 molded on the backside of it since they used the same mold.

A guy on classicoldsmobile.com forum had one about 8 months or so ago for sale. Don't know if he sold it. Was asking $299 for it. To which, in the big scheme of things, isn't a bad price at all.

The molding number is what I was referring to, I guess that would be the casting number. I have the mate with casting number 225199545. Thanks for the good information. Bill
