If you jack from under the differential, be careful you don't bend the tin diff cover and start a leak of stinky gear oil. I've used a urethane jack pad from Harbor Fright, but a block of wood will do.
Note also that in the same spots on the elbows of the frame on the diagrams a few posts back, the is an oval slot, plus a larger, roughly semicircular opening on the bottom of the frame. The small slots fit tow truck 'T-hooks' and the larger holes can fit a 2-1/2 ratchet strap hook. Use either option when towing or tying down the car on a trailer.
You can jack from the bottom of the K member under the engine. You'll be amazed how much the frame flexes at the firewall when you pick a G up from that spot.
If you put jackstands under the car, use any of the pairs of locations shown on the diagrams. I also picked up urethane jackstand pads at HF and these offer a little confidence that the jack won't slide off the frame. Leave room between the horns and any frame edge for safety.
