CVF: BUYER BEWARE

so this's the second post about your PS hose troubles.seeing as CVF doesn't seem to have a handle on hose's,have you thought about seeking an outside party to make up a set (or at least for the pressure side like 56bchevy has done)to help? I know first hand there's an actual line of AN hoses specifically for this application.you could try and make them yourself as well as a means to an end with this.

Go back and reread the posts. That is, if your reading comprehension has improved in the last few hours. You came in here like a figurative bull in a China shop that just had his nuts whacked. Raging at everyone for trying to understand the issue and help you. YOU came in here already hostile, and you therefore were met with hostility and snark in return. Check your 'tude at the door. This isn't how we operate. All we were trying to do is help. Good luck with the puddle. In my experience using a stiff brush and tide original non scented laundry detergent gets most of the stains out. Smells nice too.
I believe I commented when you bought the system, and all I had to offer was that I'd purchased from them and had no issues with my products. I didn't get anything like the kit you purchased though, as I'd never heard of the company before and wasn't ready to risk a lot of $$ until I bought small stuff first. I appreciate any and all feedback about aftermarket companies, especially new ones. Thank you for sharing your experience.

I'm also known to be a fairly intense individual, and my name is a bit of a misnomer- I'm only sweet if my blood sugar is high. More than once I've came here and said things that I later regretted because a switch gets flipped when I feel I've been taken advantage of or otherwise wronged. I think I completely understand how you feel and where your head is, as I've been there often. OFTEN. In a former life as well as lately. In fact, I gave a piece of my mind to a dink on Marketplace that had much more coming, and also recently exhibited road rage.

Having said that, I believe that people have offered help without antagonizing or picking apart your build, as I see factual comments and legitimate questions. It's not unusual for me to get defensive and it sometimes leads to lashing out at the wrong people, and I recognize that behavior in this scenario. Sometimes hoses get installed backwards, sometimes we use zip ties or other stuff permanently when better options exist. A competent high dollar shop sends neither out the door as a final product.

If a company sent me the wrong fittings as replacements for other incorrect fittings, then I'd be done with that company, period. I wouldn't even try to get a discount/ partial refund and I'm a cheap SOB. I mean cheeeaaap. If the hoses are on backwards, that can be swapped. If the hoses & fittings they sent suck, again, easy fix- buy new ones elsewhere. I know it's not fair or correct, and I can absolutely relate. I also find myself complaining about things like this to a world that doesn't listen, and have came to the conclusion that being upset about them not listening, caring, or helping only sets me back.

From my side of the street it appears that a new set of hoses and fittings from a trusted supplier is in order. Verifying the hose connections, positions, and routing could help as well. You've got a nice build going, and power steering hoses don't change that.

I haven't been a member long, but guarantee I've read more old posts than some members that existed when they were new. I agree that the tone of the forum has changed, the dynamic between members has too, and that's just unavoidable. The best thing we can do is try to be positive influences to get the change we desire, and that's tough when rage feels like home. But when I get angry and complain about struggling to accomplish simple things due to the world changing, it sounds like whining to everyone else. Even if I'm right.
Good stuff. I appreciate your contribution to my original post a few months ago when I was seeking advice and I also appreciate your response to the new one when I was giving my review and experience of CVF products and services. I don’t agree with everything but your post seems genuine for the most part. I know you’re new, so maybe that explains the independent thinking.
I’m not sure why the narrative keeps changing on what the topic was ORIGINALLY about or on who threw the first stone…I just want to say one last time for the record that I made this last post not seeking advice anymore but to simply share MY experiences with the parts and service of CVF to help the next man out before he dropped 4k on a serpentine belt. The very first response was “snark”, condescending, and confrontational. As well as the rest that followed, so I met fire with fire by calling it how I saw it: jealousy, hatred and mob mentality. If there diagnosis and contribution was genuine, why did only you and one other person respond to the original post months ago when I kept asking for help? But the whole peanut gallery jumped in and threw stones when I made an entirely different post about MY experiences. Like little school girls they just wanted to be messy and dramatic. I’m not pissed or “upset” about anything so I want to dispel that narrative too…thanks to Evil Performance for giving me better/correct parts. My project is strong and I only lack cosmetics and paint at this point…
I simply came a few days ago to warn people that the service I experienced was horrible from one guy name Trevor in sales, and that multiple parts they sent me to “fix it” didn’t work either. I HAVE NO IDEA WHY ALL THAT WAS NOT COMPREHENDED. It’s like the group came out the caves to kick my back in for voicing my experiences. This group is like a microcosm of our country: we throw rocks, hide our hands and vilify the victims because we lack accountability. So yea I returned a few stones that were thrown at me and now everyone wants to play dumb.
Look at the very first response to my post and tell me it wasn’t condescending and “snarky”…and if anyone says it wasn’t , you’re jaded and bias.
Man listen, at the end of the day, I have my dream car, with a bad *ss rebuilt high compression Rocket 350 that blows off CVF cheap *ss hoses and fittings, frame off restoration, 2004r Over Drive Trans, 3.73 posi, and my Johnson gets stiff every time I crank it up…LIFE IS GOOD.

so if everybody on both sides is done whining and buffing their johnson's, can we finally shut it all up and lock this thread?
