electronic speedometer conversion

G van or C/K pickup/burb post 88 are your only options for factory swap parts

I tried putting a G20 cluster in my GP gages but it was way different.

I ended up with a summit electric speedometer and mounted it to my column like a tach

Alternatively you can get an electric in to cable out speedometer box if you want to keep your factory dash but don't want to cut into the factory cluster and cant find the G/C/K donor parts.

I’ve met a couple members from this forum and still stay in contact with them. It’s nice to swap stories, ideas and check out each other’s rides. It’s nice to be able to help each other out.

Electric speedo, matching sized tach, and small fuel gauges were available on '90 & '91 Blazers and Suburbans as well as the R and V series trucks- and no, not an RV. A V10 Chevy doesn't have 10 cylinders either, despite what Jake from Auto Zone thinks.

If you want truck gauges or knowledge about them check the square body, k5, etc. forums- those guys want the same gauges and ask the same questions.

On a related note, I'm considering putting a G Body tic-toc tach in a C10. The needles and color schemes changed around the same time, steering columns too (wipers/ cruise). And the cruise control units might be the same, they sure look similar but I haven't inspected.
