Home-made GM Part Numbered Belts

More repro belt production. I'll have a good supply of these jokers shortly. The original belts had manufacturer markings on them, so I simply took the black StazOn ink pad and dabbed over the markings and poof, they "disappeared".

Here's an original NOS GM belt as the "service replacement" for the PS belt. The lettering has yellowed a bit due to age, I guess.

I made one of the 743 belts since this was a 45.5" belt. The 640 belt is 45.0". Here's my repro:

And an alternate 160 alternator belt. Interestingly, this was originally a USA-made belt that was made by Gates. In fact, all but maybe 1 or 2 belts made in Mexico, the rest were made in USA. I was worried the stamp maker wouldn't get the "Gates" logo worth a flip but I was amazed by the sharpness and detail of it.

This is one more job I feel pretty good about getting done. I've only got about a dozen more belts to work on....
