Erod LS3 is emissions complient in his area (why he was considering it). If that won't work for your budget then I'd leave it stock engine wise, swap to a 200-4R trans and change the rear differential gears to 3.55ish. Way more bang for the buck and the emissions goons are clueless about your... -

Finished the roof a week ago but have been busy. A couple pics with crappy lighting.also cleaned out the garage (aka airplane hangar) and hosed the floor off in preparation for the concrete guy to seal it.- Turbolq4

Found a little ATV at a yard sale. Guy said it hadn't run in two years and that it needed a clutch. It has an auto clutch and a manually shifted 5 speed trans with reverse. I got it home and hosed it down with starting fluid and yanked on the rope. Lit right off!! Pulled the carb and cleaned all...- Turbolq4

As far as the wagon is concerned, I like the LS3 option. Not a hack junkyard approach but also not a burn the wallet, to hell with life, TSP build either. -

I think the Challenger/Charger are great GT cars.
