Great project! 350 hp isn't bad when you make 450 ft lbs :wink: . That thing should scoot nicely. What cars came with the aluminum support? I've never heard of that. Keep the progress coming! -

Help needed with fuel tank
Found out some more info. Between here, a couple other g-body forums, and my local muscle car forum I got several suggestions, none of which were in my original google search. The best price I've found was rockauto.com $115 plus $25 shipping. This was for the tank with the filler neck installed... -

Best roll bar?
I want to do a 6 pt roll bar in my 79 Cutlass wagon, not worried about being NHRA legal, just want something to stiffen the chassis and have a little safety for autocrossing. Steering Column swap
so can I add to this discussion? My 79 Cutlass wagon's column is trashed. The car was broken into before I bought it and they ripped part of the left side of column off to start the car. Took my 2 boys up to the mountains camping a couple weeks ago. We drove through a few small towns on the way and I came across this little gem, an old Sinclair gas station. Pretty cool find- I love old gas stations and diners, and we had a great time camping.- SRD art

16" Wheel fitment question
It should fit fine. Maybe roll the rear fender lip just to be safe, but I didn't on mine. Only slightly rubs when the suspension is fully tweaked like when pulling into a steep driveway. Unless your car is as low as mine you prolly won't have any issues.- SRD art

16" Wheel fitment question
I have BFG G-Force Sports right now and I think they're a great tire. They suck in snow but so do most tires. Wet weather is great and they do well on the autocross for a low-mid price tire. When I posted those links I was after the cheapest tire so you could get the car on 17s at about the same...- SRD art

When I lowered the car I started with the GTA 16x8" wheels and I had a used pair of factory F-body 245-50 Goodyear Eagles on the rear and I bought some cheapie 225-50-16s for the front. 79 Cutlass Wagon G-machine build
I'm still working on buying all the parts for the car, so currently I have the stock G-body rotors. I had to use a 3/4" spacer and extended studs to get the right offset with the GTA "rear" wheels bolted on the front. Sould've used bolt on hub centric adapters, the slip on spacers aren't exactly...- SRD art
