Tiny update... got the new transmission pan in, and installed. It went on pretty easily once I got the right gasket. Slightly higher capacity pan.
I’m waiting to grab fittings for the transmission so I can mount this guy to the front of the car, courtesy of a 2001 1500/2500 Silverado I...
I have a thread that I’ll be updating, I’ll link it once I find the URL for it( My thread —-> https://gbodyforum.com/threads/78-monte-rolling-the-dice.66909/ ) ... but this is gonna be fun for sure. I’m wanting to retrofit things I like from other newer cars. I probably should have held onto the...
I’m actually working on a fold down back seat for my Monte using pieces from an Jaguar XJ8.. I got the leather seats for cheap so I figured why not try it. I’m also looking at replacing the belts too. May grab the power front seats too, and wire them to the separate fuse box. I *think* they’re...
I’ll run by and see if it’s moved but it looked like it was in really good shape. I think here you have to do something with the police and run an ad in the paper for a month or so, then go through seeing what it would cost in back registration..

Definitely in for info on this, literally the same setup I’m getting ready for (1405 600cfm with manual choke, EPS or factory manifold... still deciding). Mine should be installed in the next 2 weeks as I have time.. in retrospect I would have gone with a smaller carb but I got the carb and...
Meanwhile trying to get the reminder of the crap out of the trim around the windows so I can install the new stuff.... proving to be challenging to say the least
Also replacing the transmission filter (pan was leaking so I figured I may as well...) and found this in the pan. So I have to see...
It’s been a while but I’ve done a little damage....
Figured I’d replace the carb, since it looked like I had seen better days. I tripped and fell over this guy and was given an offer I couldn’t refuse.
Also decided to pull the valve covers and there’s a little sludge in there so I’ll be doing...
Thanks, I was surprised too because of how they’re made, I would have thought they would have been gone long ago..
It definitely does decrease the size a bit, which translates to it taking a little longer to drain but that just gives you the opportunity to enjoy a beverage [emoji481]

I’ve been doing a few things here and there but at the advice of those on the forum, I decided to buy a new tank instead of trying to repair what I had...
I was able to get it in, and decided to go ahead with a new sending unit too so not to have to worry about functionality of the old unit...
