Hey guys, been a while. Kids getting older and keeping me busy. However I did scoop up this Cutlass the other day. Pretty well fully loaded with included huge mouse nests. Plates date it at the year 2000 when it last ran. Got it fired up and it pulled itself on the trailer. Now I'm just going...
That's an awesome drawing. People that can do that stuff on the fly are really talented. Good thing I've got the stick figure corner of the market or id be in trouble.
So is this the 140 amp version that you don't have to get the wiring adapter for and change the pulley like you do on the later 140 amp ones? I was getting ready to buy those so this looks like it may be a much better solution. If it works of course.
Has anyone swapped in the actual gage cluster in a cutlass that started as the sweep style speedo to the factory round individual gages? The wiring will have to be put in as my cars wiring was butchered when I got it but wondering if anyone has managed to do this using the factory plug or if you...
Well some slight progress and good news. Haven't had a lot of time to work on the cutlass but I did manage to get ahold of a VFN hood yesterday. Looks great! Still needs finishing but that will happen eventually

Update: interior is going back in, did a little more work to the quarter panel to get it ready for filler. So (after a small fire inside the car) the interior is going back together which means the completely ruined headliner needed redone. So i did the right thing and ordered padded blue suede...
Yeah im very interested to see how its going to run, or if it was a wasted experiment. Time will tell on that one.
My advice is to not let it take too long. Have your ducks in a row and get it back together with a realistic goal. This car was last on the road in 2011 and now just getting back...
Yeah the linkages and arms are definitely different, it has a choke on it, but i haven't seen it actually do anything. As for rebuild parts im not sure, although at least the top gasket looks exactly like a Rochester gasket. The float and accelerator pump look at least similar as well. The...
That's actually an amazon special. I think the brand is Thundermingo. It was cheap which was the point and i put the smallest jets it came with in it to hopefully get it close. All in all pretty happy with it for $200 bucks
