Oh yes, it was a factory turbo engine. Plans in the future are a friend of mine is making a custom intake tube for it so i can run an intercooler and turn the boost up a bit. These engines ran 20:1 compression or higher so they didnt have as much boost as the Cummins or ford diesel engines do...
Finally for the day I finally got the body in the garage, which was a big moment thinking that it's finally going back together. As you can see by the plate it's been sitting quite a while
Next I installed the pushrods and shaft mounted rocker assembly. Keep in mind this is a 6.5 turbo diesel. Got some speedway motors solid engine mounts in for the mounting as soon as I'm ready
Okay so quick update, made some progress with the cutlass. My boy helped and we got all the valves, valve seals, and valve springs installed. Then I installed the heads and torqued the bolts to spec
Ill be sick if anything happens to my 04 Monte Carlo SS, its getting ready to hit 99,000 miles. Crossing my fingers itll keep going well over 200,000 because i just couldnt bring myself to buy much of anything the big 3 makes anymore. In the muscle car world i can say that the looks have gotten...

There is an episode of engine masters and they had a little 305 when they put it on the dyno it was around 350hp i believe and there really wasnt all that much done to it. Cam and heads. So it can be done from the little engines.

Does eliminating the flex of the upper arms by boxing them have any differences with replacing them with tubular arms that dont flex? Or is it if you box them and they cant flex they might break because of the material?
Body coming out of hibernation. Stripped the seats and carpet out of it. Unfortunately water was getting in and put a few small holes in the passenger rear floor but after a good wire wheel the whole floor is looking better. Getting this ready to coat with POR 15 also so i can get this body...
