It almost goes back to the thought that in the 80s these cars really were some of the first true throw away cars when you take a step back to look at things like the flimsy frames and the mystery alloy that the trim is apparently made from. My thoughts are it was probably really cheap to make...
Hey just cuz they have high taxes in Canada so the government can pay for fake crime so you guys have something to talk about isnt on me :D if not for that those mounties wouldnt have a job.
Im not sure if they have it in Canada but in the states for the love of god and all that is holy never select the DHL "faster shipping" method if you ever want to see your precious part or your sanity again. Needed a part for my trans am a little faster and selected it, paid 10 extra bucks and...
Its all about statistics really. I work in the quality department at one of the Cummins engine plants and its simple PPM (parts per million) just like we have here out of every so many orders, one will have a flaw. So when you think of the big picture yes eventually you will get an order thats...
They have always sent me the right parts, however i will say ive heard it is a royal pain to return if they did send you the wrong ones. I just bought spark plugs from them for my sons 260 olds and they were something like .36 cents or .63 something along those lines a piece so dirt cheap really
Well you see the government needs your money more than you do so really you should be grateful. I mean come on its only some tiny things like they get you for income TAX then state TAX and county TAX and federal TAX and then with the pocket change you have left you just have to pay a little...
Ah so they installed the cage to the frame, welded everything then raised the body up to install the headliner then dropped it back down to finish the floor around the cage. That makes sense
They have a lot of stuff, kind of impressed actually. Although i really didnt need to add more parts to my wish list. Sadly Gbodyparts has a lot of that stuff its just good luck getting it and even worse if you have an issue with anything
Im shocked there is crime in Canada, i mean... dont the law enforcement come in red suits riding a horse? Feel like my whole life is a lie...
Seriously though it sucks that the scum got your stuff
So the GTO is strangely one of my favorite newer cars. Ive never seen one (besides Australian pictures) of one with a Holden nose on it. Was that just to make it unique?
Gotta give you a lot of credit at least you are diving right in there and learning. Ive always found thats the best way to learn how to do things is to tear into it and give it a shot.
I hate this, It almost takes away from the event. Guys probably dont want to leave their really expensive cars overnight anymore. All of those cars a whole lot of work and pride went into it and all because some cheap skate wants it for free.
Saw one in person at the Indy 500 practice and have to say... not a fan. When i got all excited that the Blazer was coming back i was thinking more along the lines of a 2 door off road capable vehicle and unfortunately it wasnt even close. I didnt really think the world needed another freaking...
Okay so good news! The pinion seal leak is fixed. More of the butchery done by previous owners the yoke wasnt right for my car. The seal as you can see in the pic has a large gap around the surface it should be sealing on. Not good. So went to the parts store and they pulled the seal for a '98...
Thanks guys, been a fun project all in all. I agree about the rear axle i wish GM had put an 8.5 rear in it. Im hoping that this weekend i can cure the pinion seal leak and be able to test drive it. Then one of the cutlass's will be going in the garage and i can start a whole new build thread on...
