    The cost-benefit to owning cars??

Cars have become a device, much the same as cell phones have. Everyone wants the latest and greatest, and the novelty wears off when the next new model comes out. Plus with the styling of many newer cars, its hard to tell one brand or model from another. Its a coupe or sedan, or SUV, or CUV, or...

Will 1998 Chevy truck bucket seats fit?

The only thing I would mention, is to try to make sure that the driver's seat is centered to the steering column. Might feel a bit funny to drive the car if the seat is offset to one side.

Nice work, as always Donovan. Just curious here, but what are you using for mirror mounting gaskets on the car now? They look pretty good (at least in your photos).

Whi h battery terminal to unhook ???'s

If you read service procedures in GM service manuals, usually the very first step says "remove battery negative cable".

MALIBU 12000 '81 Malibus for sale!

As stated in the video, GM built approximately 25,000 of these cars at the Oshawa Ontario plant in 1981. Also as stated, there were issues with the cars that were shipped to Iraq. As for why the deal fell apart, there seems to be 2 schools of thought. Number 1 is that because of the issues with...

I wouldn't mind seeing some pics of the pace car that you bought. They're rare, and kind of cool.

    Brake line replacement question

Replacing just the rear section of the line is doable Jack, as long as you do the proper flares and joining them with a union. Compression fittings are not acceptable for brake lines. The tough part is the sharp bend in the line, just above where it screws into the rear flex hose. Not much room...

Really nice work Donovan. That is a very tough area to access, and you've done really well.

I would go with the lay down/ducktail type spoiler as well Donovan. The only thing I would say is, don't make it so its sticks out too far past the trunklid.

    BUILD THREAD “The Juggernaut”

Thanks for posting all of the photos, showing where the break in the 2 tone will go Donovan. The way you laid out that narrow tape really illustrated it well. I'm looking forward to seeing you modify the body lines on the rear quarters, to achieve your goal.

I think it will be a very cool colour combo Donovan.

Just curious Donovan, have you decided on the lower colour? Will it be a similiar 2 tone style as Olds Cool?

    Which trans fitts tunnel

Look, I understand what you're saying. I never said it wouldn't fit. Depending on how mechanical changes are made, you can pretty much make anything fit anything. Whether it works properly is another matter. In GM speak, the number in the middle of the transmission designation is a reference to...

    Which trans fitts tunnel

OK then. For that member, it fits.

    Which trans fitts tunnel

I think the answer to your question would depend at least partially on whose mounts you're going to go with, for your LS swap. As far as I know, if you go with the Hooker/Holley swap arts, then you should be able to use the 4L80E, without any floor modifications. If you're looking at using the...

    79 H/O in NJ

Doesn't look too bad. Paint looks rough in spots. Looks like its all there. Wonder how it is underneath. To me, in the photos, it looks like the rear seat has vinyl upholstery, and the front seats have cloth upholstery. The cloth upholstery is correct for these cars, isn't it?
