Just my 2 cents, but the thermostat alone will not keep it cool. The thermo will open at 160, but if you are not cooling the fliud in the radiator, it will eventually continue to heat up, the thermo will stay open and your temp will keep climbing. You have to get the fans to turn on sooner, if...
