They sale a connector that converts the 3mm earplug jack to rca jacks that u would run to your amp, not a bad idea but I can't say how good the sound quality would be. I have seen a car that done the same thing with an iPad and it sounded good, but on that the cable converts the Apple connector...
awesome I guess I'll try to pick them up on Friday when I go back, can anyone confirm if there would be any fitment issues if they are coming off of a 78 Cutlass and going into an 83 Cutlass?
There was another Cutlass up there with a crack free dash as well..... they charged me $138 which I felt was kinda high, would've waited until 1/2 off day but didnt want to risk loosing it and that dash is alot more noticable and definitely more likely to have someone break it than the 200r4...
does that mean that headers off of a car with a 350 would also fit on my 307? I seen a set on a 78 Cutlass at the Junk Yard this weekend but was once told that the 307 and 350 headers were different, does anyone know if they would fit for sure or not?
yea I'll be there at 9am sharp, but its in a Honda so I doubt anyone looking in that trunk will even car what trans it is LOL
I'm just hoping they dont crush the car before I get there, bcuz if they do I'm gonna be crushed
while at the junk yard this past weekend I spotted a 200r4 trans so I pulled it out and stuffed it in the trunk of another car so that I can go back and pick it up this Friday on 1/2 Off Day ;-)
pulled it from the salvage yard on Saturday and painted it with the SEM interior paint to match the existing interior, here's a few pics I took after the 2nd Coat, unfortunately my phone went dead after that but it turned out great
good news..... I finally got a chance to go look at my car in the day time and found that the coolant was only coming from the Water Pump. It was just coming out so fast that it appeared to be coming from Timing Chain cover also. I changed the water pump and thermostat and I'm back on the road...
yea I know that weird things like this happen, I just hope its not something serious because I wasnt ready to do a motor swap yet, but I guess there's no better time than the current time ;-)
I'm going to try to replace all of the gaskets as well as the water pump and thermostat and see if...
I do not have a tach and yes I did drive on the highway...... are you saying that maybe the higher RPM's caused too much stress on the motor? If so and its just the water pump or a gasket issue what can I do about that to prevent this from happening again?
