    A.I.R. Pump removal

Hey everyone. I have to replace my fuel pump, but the A.I.R./smog pump is in the way. I've attached a picture. What is the procedure for removing it? Upon reinstalling the smog pump, what is the procedure for tightening the belt?

    Fuel leak

I forgot to mention that the car started fine and was on and warming up for a minute or so before I noticed the leak.

    Fuel leak

Will do. If it is the fuel pump, how difficult is it to replace? Any pointers?

    Fuel leak

I started up the Cutlass and noticed it was leaking a load of fuel from the engine bay. The leak appears to be coming from an area near the lower radiator hose - under the car. Could this be the fuel pump? Or, are there any ther areas where fuel could leak from? The car has a stock Olds 307.

new stock exhaust Y pipe needed, 83 H/O

I had the same problem when I ordered from Summit. I ended up calling Walker directly for a replacement. They sent me one from their plant. It was in better condition than the ones I received from Summit.

    1988 cutlass supreme classic

Nice ride. I have a similar one but in burgundy (interior and exterior). I haven't seen many 88 CSC's with column shifters, pillow top seats, and rally gauges. The one I have has all three options. Maybe we should have a GBotM for 88 CSC's.

Olds 307 dieseling when under load

It may be pinging, but it really sounds like dieseling. In any case, I'll try the high octane gas to see if it makes a difference. I don't know if it's a late advance car or not. It's a 1988 if that means anything.

Olds 307 dieseling when under load

The car drives ok usually. It has new plugs, wires, fuel filter, EGR valve, and an air filter. It also has a new catalytic converter and radiator. It isn't a daily driver. Oil changes are done regularly. I've noticed that sometimes, whenever I floor it, I can hear a dieseling sound from the...

    Horn not working

For the Cutlass, it's to the left of the steering wheel, behind the rear defroster button. I moved the driver seat as far back as possible, then I unscrewed the insulation panel under the steering wheel, engaged the foot brake, and removed part of the duct that runs above the gas and brake...

    Horn not working

Just in case anyone has this issue, it turned out to be the horn relay switch.

    Horn not working

I'm hoping the clicking sound is a good sign. Though, I read somewhere that a relay might still be bad even if it clicks. I just learned that the horn relay is located behind the dash, way they heck up near and to the left of the steering wheel. It's almost impossible to reach by hand, and will...
