This is a collector's car not a driver of course. With only 46 miles on it, it has less than the one I bought off the dealer's lot when new. Someone, somewhere has a warehouse full of Impala SSs for every year except the '96. SOLD! lol

I agree with Driven. A properly tuned Quadrajet is as good as it gets IMHO. If, for whatever reason, you decide to replace this carb, contact Mountainman carbs in AR. He is a Qjet guru and is willing to help. He also rebuilds and sell Qjets and folks in the El Camino community swear by him...

I have a QuadraJet on my 454 that was built by Mountainman Carbs in AR. It has performed flawlessly for over 3 years. Many of the folks in the El Camino community who don't rebuild their own swear by this guy, including me.
