    Olds 358 build

Well, I think this Speedmaster throttle body is BS. So I got a BMW TPS sensor. The 8mm D head fits the shaft perfectly bolts in the stock holes but the 122 degree sweep isn't enough. To get 0% at idle, it puts it at 70% WOT. For 100% WOT, at 26%. Looks like I am buying the Edelbrock throttle...

86 Regal w/ Olds 350 - Power Steering Pump Pulley Madness

Absolutely correct. If any of the spacers are missing, it ends up crooked.

    Ignition Coil Mounting Ideas

Both are mounted on my firewall.

86 Regal w/ Olds 350 - Power Steering Pump Pulley Madness

Is the rear brace attached at the back of the power steering bolted to the block?

    Olds 358 build

Fuel leak is fixed, apparently an O ring is handy to seal the fuel rail. Well, I got my Ford TPS for the Speedmaster throttle body. It works, sort of. It has less of a lag in the throttle but only gets 60 percent TPS, no matter how I adjust it, including slotting the TPS mounting holes. The...

    Olds 358 build

Well, I still have a minor leak at the back rail, tightened it more, don't want it any tighter. One of the rails got a bit of a ding in shipping from Mark. Hopefully it sealed up this time. I may pull it and put in a new O ring or different fitting. But it ran and drove across town, that is...

    Olds 358 build

Ok, so this Speedmaster throttle body has been giving me fits. The LS TPS doesn't have the right sweep and doesn't bolt on anyways. I reordered the Ford TPS since I damaged the tang in the one I had, only a $30 sensor. I cut off the D out of the defective new Speedmaster sensor so the arm won't...

    78 cutlass W-31 build

Great score on the headers. Is the JM-14 cam new? I might consider it but there is a guy on Classic Olds who was considering a 307 cam swap. I might consider it, looks slightly smaller than the generic 204/214 cam. I assume that 69 400 4 spd cam is basically the W30 cam, bit more duration and...

What do you have for Olds cams?

    78 cutlass W-31 build

That's pretty awesome. Considering I even ran into an issue with 330 crank with an automatic torque converter, not a bad idea. It is set up for a manual transmission, has a bushing but the 330 crank has a smaller ID than other SB iron cranks.

    Olds 358 build

Well, I picked up two new fuel pressure sensors. The one in there was reading 111 psi. I also have a gauge coming. I tried both replacements, one read 28/29 psi, the other 31/32 psi. The oil pressure sensor is the same sensor. It reads within 5 psi, reading lower than the gauge, 70 cold and 28...

    Holley dash 12.3

Exactly, way too much money. I am planning on the smallest one, once I convert to the TKX.

    OLDS Alternator mount adjustment "anvil"

That makes sense. Only worked on a couple of 84 and up Olds powered cars.

    OLDS Alternator mount adjustment "anvil"

Just curious, what year Olds V8 did this come on? I don't remember seeing this on any car, worked on dozens of Olds V8 cars. It is nice adjustment vs the regular bolt.

    BUILD THREAD “The Juggernaut”

Wiring sucks, looks great as always. Got to love how the bean counters decided properly working mirrors weren't necessary. I have the same dilemma with my 70, having only a factory driver side mirror. Do I really want to reinforce the passenger door just to upgrade to shitty cable ran mirrors...

    BUILD THREAD 83 calias build

Missed this one. Love the Olds 350, my favorite engine. Extremely cool the heads were done by Batten as well. Yeah, 350 HP should be a walk in the park with 400+ ft-lbs of torque. I'm just getting the Terminator X Max SEFI fine tuned on my Olds 358 in my 70 Cutlass S. Nice car and of course GM's...

My nearly new, 0 owner 2017 Dodge Challenger GT

Here is the engine cover installed. I also decided to buy the best tires on the market. Continental Extreme Contact DWS06+ in the P235/55R19 105XL W speed rating. Of course we just got 6 inches of snow, roads were almost dry but will be 10 above freezing by the end of the week. Hopefully...

    New project 2WD 1 Ton 454

Nice and the right price. I want a 350 gas 4x4 with a 4L80E to Olds V8 again. Not having the lousy 4L60E is a bonus, no where did 3/4 go.

    Olds 358 build

Got the TPS cobbled with the GM sensor and got it out of the garage under Holley EFI power for the first time! It needs more learning and tuning, I may try more timing at idle, stalled quite a few times when put into gear, currently at 30 degrees

    Olds 358 build

I got Mark Remmel advice and he said Holley's tune is rich and I inputed 325 CID instead of 358. It still wanted to be difficult to start and idled at 2000 rpm then finally smartened up idled around 850 rpm, my target was 770 rpm, close enough. Looking at the Speedmaster TPS, the dirty buggers...
